Painting process - Pine Tree

Painting process of a Pine Tree. This artwork was inspired by nature and trees from my local park. As the first lock-down started in 2020, I got used to going out to the park every day. And that’s where my love of painting trees started! I took lots of photographs of different lighting on the trees (morning and evening), tangled branches and color shadings. Later in my studio, I would use these photographs as a reference for my tree paintings.

Pine Tree was one of my tree series paintings from 2020. It was painted in oils and using lots of different green tones and shadings. It has been selected to exhibit in Sunny Art Prize 2020. Later, it was sold at Art for Charity Collective auction with 30% of funds going to the charity for mental heath - A Space Between.
